Beyond the Frames: A Musical Celebration

The Mechanics Hall “family” of music organizations: Worcester Youth Orchestras, Worcester Chamber Music Society, and the Worcester Chorus Women’s Ensemble of Music Worcester, come together with our own Mechanics Hall performers: Many Voices Youth Singers, Principal Organist Peter Krasinski, and Tenor, Christon Carney, for an exciting  night of music. Joining them will be Crocodile River Music and five celebrated Black organists: George Davey, Tedde Gibson, Nathaniel Gumbs, Nicole Keller, and Wolff von Roos, who will perform on our world-renowned Worcester Organ. The musical celebration honors three recently unveiled commissioned portraits of 19^th century Black Americans William & Martha Brown, Frederick Douglass, and Sojourner Truth.

Concert begins at 6:30 with a “pay-what-you-can” admission. Refreshments to be served. Reserve your tickets early for this once-in-a-lifetime event!
