Communication with WorcAGO members is crucial for an effective chapter. Several years ago, we began posting newsletters online in PDF format, and placing important news and announcements on our homepage. In this age of Social Networking and daily internet updates, we’ve added to our new deployment a “blog” (Web-Log of events and information) where we informally are capturing information of interest to area musicians. In the Spring of 2010, we switched to a database type of online calendar, where the performers and publicists can upload concert information themselves. Included are an array of features such as email subscriptions (based on category preferences) and display format options.
